Celebration of the Mormon pioneers arriving in the Salt Lake Valley on July 24, 1847 has long been recognized by our citizens.  Weston was settled in 1865, also by LDS pioneers, and this heritage has been commemorated for over a century now.  Although, it has been modernized and additional activities have been added since then, much has also remained the same. You'll still find families, friends, and neighbors gathering to enjoy a parade, food, games, and remembering those who came before us. Don't miss this yearly highlight!

Saw Dust Hunt

A giant pile of sawdust will be laden with treasure. The kids will be divided into age groups and the hunt will be on! The youngest will be able to find novelty toys and small surprises and there will be $300 in change, donated by Alta Bank, waiting for the rest.

Craft Vendor Information

We invite you to participate in our outdoor celebration as a vendor! Due to space limitations, submitting an application doesn't necessarily guarantee entrance as a vendor. All applicants will be notified, in a timely manner, of the status of requests.

Food Vendor Information

Bring your appetite for lunch, dinner, and all the snacks and treats in between! There will be plenty of mouth watering food options readily available throughout the entire day.

Games & Entertainment Information

You will find plenty of entertainment for the kids throughout the day with carnival type games, bounce houses, and inflatables.

Animal Chases

This traditional activity is tied to our agricultural roots and is probably as old as the celebration, itself. This year we will have rabbits, chickens, and the greased pig chase. Even the adults can get in on the fun!

The bunny and chicken chase are included in the wristband cost. Anyone wanting to chase the pig will need to pay an additional $5.

Airplane Candy Drop

The candy will be falling from the sky and plenty of kids will be waiting to scramble onto the baseball diamond to claim as much as possible. Always a hit and a crowd favorite!

Greased Pole

It's back again this year! Compete for your chance to climb to the top of our greased pole to reach the grand prize (money).

If there is enough interest, we will also include a separate and smaller pole for younger kids.

Signups will happen the day of the celebration. A waiver is required to be signed by all participants.

Shootout at Woodward's

That famous annual Old West Shoot Out with the Patriot Gunslingers will happen at Woodward's Country Store. Get your posse together for a taste of the wild west, gunslingers, saloons, and gunfights. All ages will surely enjoy this spectacular show.

Cornhole Tournament

Join in on some cornhole! Our friends at Franklin County Cornhole will have tournament play available and all skill levels are welcome.
